| When the water began to rise on my block.... |
The storm of the century wreaked havoc on the New York City area. We just recently got full power, still no heat, the basement is destroyed and everything in it. But like I said, we are very fortunate. You can read my firsthand account of what happened here at Babble.
There are so many heroes that continue to help countless thousand of people and animals. Major kudos to the Humane Society, North Shore Animal Center and ASPCA for helping countless pets. Many animal shelters and temporary neighborhood shelters still need pet food desperately.
I will update more as the week smooths out....thank you so very much for all the emails of support and kindness. They mean a whole lot.
